Biography
Alana Alberg is a professional bassist and music educator originally from Tietê, São Paulo, currently based in Rio de Janeiro. She began her journey on bass at the age of 13 and has since built a solid career spanning studio recordings, tours, and audiovisual productions, with wide stylistic versatility across rock, pop, samba, bossa nova, funk, and soul. Alana has extensive studio experience and has taken part in major television productions for Rede Globo, including Amor & Sexo, Popstar, Pipoca da Ivete, and Caldeirão do Mion, as well as musical theater projects and original productions. In 2023, she was hired to record a tribute to Bill Withers in Los Angeles, performing as the only Brazilian musician in the band. She has also contributed to recordings for the international project Playing For Change, further expanding her global presence. Alana was a member of the band Blitz, one of the pioneering groups of Brazilian rock, and performed on the Super Tour of pop singer Jão, one of Brazil's leading contemporary pop artists. The tour included major festivals, arenas, and stadiums across Brazil and Portugal. Recognized for her musicality, precision, and artistic sensitivity, Alana delivers bass lines that serve the song with taste and consistency, contributing meaningfully to each recording and performance. She works with professional-grade equipment and maintains partnerships with international brands such as Markbass, Focusrite, Novation, Trickfish, Mike Lull, Bite Bass, and Origin Effects.
