Biography
Mário PC is a Brazilian saxophonist, flutist, singer, arranger, composer, programmer, and music producer with 43 years of professional experience. An associate member of UBC (União Brasileira de Compositores), his career spans live performance, studio recording, audiovisual production, publishing, and education. Throughout his career, Mário has shared stages and studios—both nationally and internationally—with some of Brazil's most influential artists. He worked for ten years with Lulu Santos, six years with Marina Lima, and two years with Ed Motta, and has contributed to recordings by Os Paralamas do Sucesso, among many others. His discography includes participation in five CD/DVD releases by Lulu Santos, one album by Marina Lima, one by Ed Motta, and one by Paralamas do Sucesso, in addition to countless independent productions available on digital platforms. As a music producer and composer, Mário has created soundtracks for Rede Globo (as a freelancer), video games, short and medium-length films (notably for director Octavio Caruso), and a wide range of corporate and institutional clients, including IBMEC, IPEA, Espaço Ser, and WaterProof. He has also produced music for artists such as Marcello Ferreira, Valerie Lu, Guilherme Gê, Kitu Yang, Janison Caetano, Cantor Dom, Erika Fernandes, Parlendô, Flor de Aruanda, and Junior Alves. Mário is licensed in Music by UNIRIO and is fluent across multiple musical styles, moving effortlessly between pop, jazz, Brazilian popular music, instrumental music, and contemporary production languages. He has released nine original projects under his own name on digital platforms, reflecting his strong authorial voice and ongoing creative output. In addition to his musical career, Mário PC is also an author, having published two books through Editora Multifoco: "O Saxofone Pop dos Anos 80", prefaced by Eduardo Lakschevitz (Head of the Composition and Conducting Department at UNIRIO) with cover text by Lulu Santos, and "Ilusório Relógio da Vida", prefaced by writer Marco Antônio Coelho, with cover text by Olavo Romano, President of the Minas Gerais Academy of Letters. Currently based in São Paulo, Mário operates his own professional music production and recording studio. He is also pursuing postgraduate studies in Logotherapy at Instituto Freedom, expanding his interdisciplinary approach to music, creativity, and human experience.
