Marlon Sette is a Brazilian trombonist, arranger, composer, and music producer with over 35 years of professional experience and a distinguished presence in Brazilian music. Widely recognized as one of the most in-demand trombonists and arrangers of his generation, he has contributed to hundreds of studio recordings and performs regularly with artists across a wide range of musical styles—building a career defined by versatility, musical excellence, and lasting artistic relevance. For more than 15 years, Marlon has served as trombonist and musical director for Jorge Ben Jor, playing a central role in shaping the sound of one of Brazil's most iconic artists. Throughout his career, he has collaborated with major figures in Brazilian and international music, including Sérgio Mendes, Gilberto Gil, João Donato, Caetano Veloso, Maria Bethânia, Adriana Calcanhotto, Arlindo Cruz, among many others. His most recent high-profile performances include participation in Gilberto Gil's "Tempo Rei" tour and the "Maria Bethânia e Caetano" tour, the latter documented in a live album nominated for a Grammy Award, further reinforcing his international recognition. As a music producer, Marlon Sette has also built an acclaimed catalog. He produced "Bem-vindo ao Baile" by Carlos Dafé, "Contra-Fluxo" and "Dora Vergueiro" by Dora Vergueiro—the latter nominated for the Latin Grammy Award for Best Samba/Pagode Album (2013).
