Installation Guide
Get up and running in minutes
Download the installer package and follow the on-screen prompts
- →Double-click TheStudioPlugin.pkg
- →Follow the installation wizard
- →Enter your Mac password when prompted
macOS may show a security warning on first use
- →Open System Settings → Privacy & Security
- →Scroll to the Security section
- →Click 'Open Anyway' next to 'The Studio'
- →Confirm by clicking Open
Restart your DAW and look for The Studio in your plugin list
- →Open your DAW preferences/plugin manager
- →Scan for new plugins if needed
- →The Studio should appear under AU and VST3
Insert the plugin on your master bus and login to start streaming
- →Insert The Studio on your master/stereo output
- →Login with your Sessions Boutique credentials
- →Select your session and click 'Start Streaming'

Common issues and solutions
"Cannot open plugin" security warning
This is normal for first-time use on macOS. Go to System Settings → Privacy & Security and click 'Open Anyway' next to The Studio.
Plugin doesn't appear in DAW
Restart your DAW after installation. Check that your DAW supports AU or VST3 plugins. Try rescanning plugins in your DAW preferences.
Cannot login to the plugin
Verify your account credentials at thestudio.app. Ensure you're assigned to at least one session. Check your internet connection.
Poor audio quality for listeners
Ask listeners to hard refresh their browser (Cmd+Shift+R). Verify your upload speed meets the 5+ Mbps requirement. Try reducing DAW sample rate to 48kHz if using higher rates.
Connection issues or audio dropouts
Check your internet stability. Disable VPN if active. Ensure no firewall is blocking the connection. Use wired Ethernet instead of WiFi for best results.
Audio cuts out or stutters
Check your internet stability. Close bandwidth-intensive applications. Ensure your upload speed is sufficient for your sample rate.
