System Requirements for HQ Audio Sessions
Ensure the best experience with optimal setup
Meeting these requirements is essential for a successful session. Sessions Boutique cannot guarantee audio quality if your system or network does not meet the minimum specifications.
Browser
Chrome, Safari, or Edge (latest version)
Internet
Stable connection (see network requirements below)
RAM
8 GB minimum
Processor
Intel i5 / Apple M1 or equivalent
RAM
16 GB or more
Processor
Intel i7 / Apple M1 Pro or better
Internet
Wired ethernet connection (more stable than Wi-Fi)
Network Requirements
A stable, continuous connection is critical for HQ audio streaming
Important: These speeds must be continuous and stable throughout the entire session. Intermittent connections or speed drops will cause audio issues.
Musicians stream high-quality audio to listeners using The Studio plugin
Higher upload speeds ensure better audio quality and stability
Users receive the HQ audio stream from the musician
Faster download speeds help prevent buffering and audio drops
Jitter is the variation in packet arrival time. High jitter causes choppy audio.
Wired connections typically have lower jitter than Wi-Fi
Test Your Connection
Before your session, we recommend testing your internet speed at speedtest.net
Check for:
- Consistent speeds (run test 2-3 times)
- Low jitter (shown as "Ping" variation)
- No packet loss
Tips for the Best Session Experience
- Keep the session tab in focus — Don't minimize or switch to other browser tabs during the session
- Close unnecessary applications — Especially video players, streaming services, or other audio apps
- Close extra browser tabs — Each tab uses memory and CPU
- Use headphones — Prevents echo and feedback
- Prefer a wired internet connection — More stable than Wi-Fi
- Close unused DAW plugins — Reduces CPU load
- Use a dedicated audio interface — Better latency and quality
- Connect via ethernet — More reliable than Wi-Fi for streaming
- Keep the Studio App HQ plugin as your main output — Ensure it's receiving your DAW's audio
Troubleshooting
- 1.Refresh the page and rejoin the session
- 2.Close other applications using bandwidth
- 3.Check your internet connection speed
- 4.Switch to a wired connection if using Wi-Fi
- 1.Make sure your browser isn't muted
- 2.Check that your system volume is up
- 3.Try refreshing the page
- 1.When prompted, select 'Entire Screen' instead of a specific window
- 2.DAW applications require full screen sharing to capture properly
